If both gears have hard tooth surfaces and the tooth surface hardness is the same, it depends on the specific situation. Transmissions with high power, such as closed gear transmissions with input power exceeding 75kW, generate large amounts of heat, which may easily lead to poor lubrication and gear tooth gluing damage. In order to control the temperature rise, the heat dissipation capacity should also be calculated. 2.
